Thirty-six years’ experience working as a troubleshooter and consultant with commercial real estate and property management companies educated Sam in all facets of commercial real estate and groomed him for his role as President of CameronButcher Company. That he successfully founded and operated three companies from 1983 to 1997, all of which are still in operation, speaks highly of Sam’s keen understanding of owning and operating businesses.
Long before these accomplishments, Sam graduated from Clinterty Agricultural College in Aberdeen, Scotland, with a degree in Agricultural Management. For the next four years after graduation, he managed and operated the family farms in Aberdeenshire, Scotland. Then in 1983, he brought his managerial and entrepreneurial skills to the United States, settling in Atlanta, Georgia.
From 1983 to 1997, his client list grew steadily and included the companies Lavista Associates, Coca Cola®, Custom Signs Today, Wendy’s® International LLC, RTM, Siemens, Intecolor®, and Antec®.
Sam relocated his family to Colorado Springs in 1997 and became a partner in The London Real Estate Group. Then in January of 2004, he sold his interest and helped form CameronButcher Company with Kevin Butcher.
Sam serves as President on the board of Springs Rescue Mission and was nominated by his peers in the Realtors Commercial & Industrial Society as Commercial Realtor of the year for 2003. Sam also is a Past President of the Board of Realtor’s Service Corp (RSC), Past Chairman of the Realtors Commercial & Industrial Society (RCIS), Past Chairman of the Realtors Commercial Alliance (RCA) of the state of Colorado, and a director of the Colorado Association of Realtors.
Sam is married to Helen Cameron and together they have three beautiful daughters.
