Entities controlled by CameronButcher purchased approximately 50 acres of land from Corporate Office Property Trust (COPT) in the Patriot Park Office Campus, along with 6.6 acres in the Newport Business Park. After the zoning was changes, a high density single-family apartments development plan was received. Approximately 20 acres of adjoining land was donated as park land along Sand Creek and open space. Commercial and residential metropolitan districts were formed and funded for the on-going maintenance of the park and other public amenities. The land was recently sold to a home builder after the entitlement stage, the planning for the development has been completed and they are currently in their construction phase.
